Reflect of Reading habits

People nowadays can read from a vast diversity of texts. The internet and the media have popularized the possibility of writing and reading for most of the population in developed countries. Because of this, we can find traditional readers in libraries or schools, and more commonly, e-readers on various devices such as tablets, laptops, e-readers, or mobile phones.

We cannot forget that we use that ability every day, even when we don't realize we are doing so: When we take the milk from the fridge, in the bathroom, while waiting for the bus, looking for our bus number, at work, in our dear Seneca app, every time we write or answer a message on any social network, when we watch a movie with subtitles, looking for the last receipt for that special dinner, or trying to understand what is going on in this world thanks to the digital newspapers... Maybe books are no longer as prominent as before, but reading is more present than ever.

In the first two pictures, the readers are most likely enjoying reading, as we can imagine they are in a library alone or, in the second picture, with a relative who is trying to instill a love of reading in a young girl. That's why I think they are feeling good. In my experience as a multilingual reader, I usually read in my native language, but I don't mind finding an interesting article or post in a blog and devouring them as if they were written in Spanish. I typically read, as I said before, all the time. However, if I want to relax or stay informed, I usually read during the weekends or evenings.
